About the Role:

As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functionality and safety of our healthcare facilities portfolio in the Waco, TX area. This full-time role involves performing a variety of general and preventative maintenance tasks, responding to work orders and emergency requests across various healthcare locations. 

The work schedule consists of rotating shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, or 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM) on a bi-weekly basis, Monday through Friday, with participation in an on-call rotation approximately once every three months after an initial training period. This role requires daily travel between sites using a company-provided vehicle, with all locations situated within a 15-mile radius.

What You’ll Do:
  • Perform general maintenance tasks within a healthcare facilities portfolio, including touch-up painting, drywall repair, general carpentry, electrical, mechanical repairs, and plumbing.
  • Conduct monthly preventative maintenance according to established schedules and assigned equipment inspection routines.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, diagnosing problems and executing timely repairs to minimize downtime in critical healthcare environments.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, and other building components to ensure continuous operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance inspections, identify potential issues, and implement necessary repairs.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review and track assigned work orders using available systems to ensure timely completion and accurate documentation of all maintenance activities.
  • Support energy management initiatives by ensuring all building systems operate efficiently.
  • Inspect existing installations for compliance with relevant building codes and safety regulations, prioritizing safety in all tasks.
  • Utilize a company-provided vehicle for daily travel to various clinic locations to complete work orders, ensuring efficient and timely service delivery.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
What You’ll Need:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of proven experience in a general maintenance role.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of maintenance tasks including basic carpentry, painting, and plumbing.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record for regular travel between sites.
  • job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
