About The Role

A Facilities Account Engineer supports strategic engineering initiatives, extending the reach of the Reliability, Energy and Continuous Improvement teams to our engineering and technician teams at a major pharmaceutical client site.  The focus is promoting best work practices, supporting changes to workflows and aiding implementation of improvement strategies assuring alignment with client standards and expectations.

This position requires that the individual be proactive, recognize and address issues as they arise, take ownership of situations, inform leadership of issues and steps being taken to mitigate problems.

The Facility Account Engineer must possess strong communications skills with the ability to work independently and with the team.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as SME in one or more key technology/asset areas. These include but are not limited to: HVAC, Pressure Safety, IoT Technology Integration, Utilities, Calibration, Engineering Standards.
  • Support Operations Management with development of engineering and design policies and practices.
  • Support engineering activities at all U.S. based client sites. Review drawings and proposals, confer with client and local CBRE personnel, apply standard processes to situations and make recommendations.
  • Directly support Building Engineering teams and Maintenance Technicians, driving alignment of practices across site and account.
  • Maintain CBRE BOS documents and serve as a point person for selected client engineering and design standards requiring review.
  • Serve as technical SME and Job Plan approver for Indianapolis site.
  • Assure integrity of documentation supporting energy savings projects with client.
  • Lead short-term and long-term technical programs recognized by the client to achieve objectives. Report out periodically as appropriate.
  • Promote alignment of engineering and service delivery between buildings and sites.
  • Establish and promote technical preferences for equipment selection to Project Engineers and Project Managers.
  • Research new technological solutions to solve account maintenance issues.
  • Contribute to account growth by identifying new service opportunities and building business models to capitalize on them.
  • Promote Energy Conservation efforts on the account and participate in claiming gainshare savings.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Building Facility Engineer working in Facilities Maintenance, preferred in a Pharmaceutical environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of building systems to include Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Ability to communicate both written and verbal at high client and building technician level.
  • Candidate must possess a strong ability to multitask while supporting numerous projects at any given time.
  • Proven ability to speak and write effectively and proficient in MS Office Suite for business communications and productivity.
