The Energy Manager is responsible for optimizing energy usage and implementing sustainable practices within the organization. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Tracking and Benchmarking: Monitor and analyze energy consumption using numerical and analytical methods.
  2. Energy Monitoring: Oversee energy usage across various facility divisions, sections, and systems.
  3. Target Setting: Establish and achieve energy reduction targets.
  4. Energy Audits: Conduct regular energy audits to identify improvement areas.
  5. Reporting: Prepare and summarize energy usage reports.
  6. Best Practices: Implement industry best practices for energy management.
  7. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with changes in energy regulations.
  8. Cost Management: Reduce energy consumption within budget constraints.
  9. Market Monitoring: Track energy supply prices and assess their business impact.
  10. Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date energy records.
  11. Carbon Footprint: Initiate carbon footprint reduction programs.
  12. Technology Integration: Introduce new technologies and best practices.
  13. Asset Management: Identify and replace under-performing assets.
  14. Program Evaluation: Measure the success of energy management programs.
  15. Internal Audits: Serve as a certified internal auditor for QMS, EMS, and OSHAS.
  16. Equipment Review: Conduct and report on equipment performance reviews.
  17. Coordination: Work with QHSE and COE teams on reports, records, and targets.
  18. Power Optimization: Focus on DC and critical loads for power optimization.
  19. Certification Initiatives: Pursue certifications like BEE and maintain records.
  20. Training: Train operators and staff on energy management and water-saving practices.
  21. Report Submission: Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports for various purposes.
  22. MMR Participation: Participate in MMR and update GWS on initiatives.
  23. Audit Coordination: Coordinate with GWs for internal and external energy audits.
