About the Role: 

As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you’ll perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair to various structures throughout a designated commercial facility.   

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs of equipment and systems.  

What You’ll Do: 

  • Escalate unusual events/occurrences to supervisor   

  • Erect safety barricades 

  • Maintain signage 

  • Complete general maintenance of door/window closures, door handles/hinges and other like devices 

  • Re-lamp 

  • Perform light duties: sweeping, general cleaning, painting/patching, garbage removal, snow removal, etc. 

  • Complete basic preventive/demand maintenance tasks; input histories if required 

  • Respond to basic tenant requests and emergencies 

  • Monitor work of contractors/external service providers to ensure adherence to company/industry standards    

  • Participate in review of basic operating policies/procedures as required        

  • Inspect/repair: interior/exterior elements (i.e., staircases) for rust/deterioration; basements to ensure no water seepage 

  • Remove/repaint over graffiti 

  • Maintain/repair concrete precast/cement 

  • Inspect roof for debris; report damage 

  • Perform minor repairs on building envelope 

  • Repair drywall (floor and wall) 

  • Light maintenance of mechanical/electrical equipment 

  • Respond to environmental/comfort complaints if required 

  • Complete filter changes 

  • Assist with maintenance of metal/plastic pipe systems 

  • Assist other classifications/trades as required 

  • Works in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and all other applicable codes  

  • Maintain a clean work environment 

  • Perform other duties as assigned 

What you’ll need 

  • High school diploma or GED. 

  • 2-4 years of previous experience as a General Maintainer/Maintenance Assistant. 

  • Previous experience in carpentry, electrical and plumbing repairs. 

  • Good problem-solving skills. 

  • You should have excellent customer service skills in ensuring client requests are responded to professionally. 

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written. 

  • Ability to work as part of a team.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The salary range for this role is between $55,000 - $65,000 annually. The compensation provided to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience.
