About the Role:

As a CBRE Systems Engineer, you will manage and allocate infrastructure resources by monitoring and maintaining system platforms in support of CBRE's information technology operations. You will provide primary support packaging, deploying, and maintaining many of our industry leading business applications.  Must have experience with endpoint management tools and scripting and reporting technologies.

This job is part of the System Engineering job function. They are responsible for successfully executing and monitoring software design requirements and improvements to increase efficiency. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Define complex system requirements and objectives based on business needs and deliver high quality solutions based on automation with endpoint management tools, including software packaging, scripting, and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system service failures by identifying and analyzing the situation and providing corrective actions. 
  • Develop, install, and test new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolves software related problems. 
  • Monitor systems activities and fine tune system parameters and configuration to optimize performance and ensure security of systems. 
  • Engage with application development teams on current infrastructure projects. 
  • Facilitate the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions. 
  • Simplify complex ideas and present the information in group settings.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies. 
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. 
  • Administrative use of endpoint management tools, scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, SQL, and PowerBI.
  • Technical certifications in the specialty area, such as ITIL, Apple, Tanium, or Microsoft preferred.  
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Possessing excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational and analytical abilities, and a talent for effectively presenting information. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers. 
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. 
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
