About the Role:
- Responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electronic, mechanical, and robotic automation equipment and systems.
- Part of the Material Handling job function, focusing on the incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products, and parts.
What You'll Do:
- Install, repair, and test complex manufacturing systems to maintain process efficiency.
- Review technical specifications and perform scheduled and preventive maintenance of mechatronic systems, modules, and components.
- Troubleshoot, identify, and repair large equipment and systems to prevent problems and failures.
- Work with machine operators to detect equipment problems, identify malfunctions, and verify system problems.
- Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets.
- Use communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
- Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks, as described in detail.
- Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
What You'll Need:
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience; a combination of experience and education will also be considered.
- Previous experience with automated conveyor systems and controls, material handling equipment, blueprints, and schematics.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
