About the Role:

As an Enterprise Sector HSE Lead, you will provide leadership within sectors an associated accounts around key HSE & commercial guardrails, drives governmental HSE compliance, provides technical guidance & oversight, supports mitigations and drives assurance of mid to high-risk activities on portfolio programs & projects. 

This job is part of the Environment Health and Safety function. They are responsible for organizational programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities. This position cultivates and drives a culture of Health, Safety & Environmental excellence to protect people, assets and brand across our Agency, Principal Construction and HSE Professional Services delivery models.

This is a remote role with up to 25% of travel expected. Travel will be mostly domestic with the potential of some international. 

What You’ll Do:
  • Promote a positive and proactive culture to influence stakeholders, and to ensure compliance.
  • Drive a culture of safety and visible leadership commitment into everything we do by continually assessing organizational maturity, establishing baselines and creating action plans in partnership with the business. 
  • Assist with implementing and reviewing playbooks, and procedures. Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives drive program consistency and efficiency.
  • Partner with sector and account leadership to develop and execute sector-specific HSE plans aligned with Global Enterprise plan goals and T&T central H&S pillars. 
  • Manage initiatives to meet regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements.
  • Implements and manages key programs and initiatives to reduce risk; drives project management of initiatives including appropriate stakeholdering, communication plans, and training delivery. 
  • Track operational and safety risks. Develop and manage strategic risk management strategies to avoid potential incidents.
  • Monitor injury, illness, and incident reports. Provide recommendations on how to prevent risk. 
  • Manages the HSE notification, escalation and investigation process for sectors. 
  • In partnership with Risk Management, coordinates insurance claims, liaison with state authorities and developing/maintaining RTW plans. 
  • Monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental regulatory compliance within the account. Work with management to create strategic solutions that improve and maintain compliance as required.
  • Maintains HSE content on company system of the region, including HSE software, and others. 
  • Produces metrics and dashboards when required, proactively identified trends and proposes local action plans; develops board reports and other periodic report-outs and updates. 
  • Maintains compliance & legal registers for sectors. 
  • Work with stakeholders to identify potential concerns. Communicate findings, concerns, and deficiencies to responsible functional managers.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
  • Participates in sales and solutioning through RFI/RFP support, commercial contracts and other business development activities to win & keep clients, and grow the business. 
  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Certification from an Occupational Safety & Health accreditation body (ex. BCSP, NEBOSH). 
  • 7+ years of on-site construction experience, preferably within heavy industrial, infrastructure, refining environments, and/or manufacturing. 
  • Working knowledge of regional construction and basic governmental HSE regulations & standards. 
  • Demonstrated experience of auditing principles & practices. 
  • Demonstrated experience delivering results in a highly matrixed and at times, ambiguous environment. 
  • Experience with HSE elements delivering projects in principal/PMC is preferred.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

The minimum salary for this position is $128,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $150,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.  Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on Turner & Townsend’s applicable benefit program.
