Sustainability Analyst

Role Purpose
The Sustainability Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting our clients by delivering on their real estate sustainability aspirations. You will work closely within a client focused team and engage with our clients’ portfolio/asset/fund managers. This position requires excellent analytical skills when managing, compiling, aggregating and reviewing sustainability data to support our team deliver actionable insights for Sustainability reporting and benchmarking.

In the role you will:
  • Manage Data – Using our Sustainability Data Platform work with our clients property managers, operating partners and other 3rd parties in ensuring data is provided and maintained on a regular basis. Including provision of reports to understand and highlight data completeness and data quality
  • Process Documentation – Support the account team with producing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures on how we manage and report on data in support of producing Sustainability KPI’s and Benchmarks. This includes data quality and completeness targets , work flows, issue resolution , data quality escalations.
  • Day to day responsibility for managing the asset onboarding process into the Data platform. Including providing training materials and onboarding guides for the property managers undertaking this work. Taking direct action and responsibility for collection of data where CBRE has responsibilities for infilling gaps
  • Support the team when preparing benchmarking and quarterly reports for Energy and Sustainability
  • Support the team with review and management of energy and regulation content provided to the client

Person Specification/Requirements:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize data into meaningful reports 
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to assess large volumes of data 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset, enabling effective teamwork with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree or professional experience in a related field (engineering, business, real estate, sustainability, physical sciences, etc) preferred.
  • Interest in learning and growing in the field of real estate sustainability!
