About the Role:

We’re seeking a dedicated, detail‑oriented individual to support our recruiting function by overseeing a highly complex background screening program and providing guidance and leadership to the team’s coordinators.

What You'll Do:

  • Work with a team of talent acquisition coordinators to ensure accurate and timely communications to prospective employees by coordinating background process with 3rd party vendor supporting the hiring process.
  • Coordinate completion of background screening and drug testing for pending job candidates by initiating and auditing the process, acquiring required information from potential new hire and service vendors and reporting status to team members - coordinators, managers and people partners.
  • Raise background screening cases to partners through application of adjudication guidelines and in accordance with defined company policy.
  • Participate and lead background requirements for internal CBRE employees alongside of the People Business Partners.
  • Manage paperwork to ensure compliance is met for all background needs.
  • Provide administrative support to recruiting coordinators by reviewing and updating on background process for newly extended candidates.
  • Run background audits.

  • 5+ years of job-related experience working as a lead for backgrounds.
  • An established understanding of work routines and standards and applying skills and knowledge in a range of processes, procedures, and systems are required.
  • Requires intermediate problem-solving skills with the capacity to review and select solutions from available options without supervisory approval.
  • Ability to explain detailed and complicated information within the team in a clear and concise manner.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with a robust inquisitive mindset.
  • General math skills. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups or complicated information within the team.
