About The Role:
Under close supervision, the Maintenance Handyman will perform non-technical general building maintenance, light custodial and minor repair duties.

The role is onsite in Brooklyn, NY USA.

What You'll Do:
  • Perform general labor work as assigned including loading, unloading and moving materials. 
  • Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps. Maintains grounds of facility or property performing such tasks as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing or snow removal. 
  • Patrol grounds, common areas and parking facilities. Identifies and reports maintenance hazards or other property condition concerns. 
  • Perform housekeeping functions and maintains the professional appearances of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas. Paint and patch drywall. Perform other minor repairs under supervision. 
  • Facilitate office access and office moves by providing moving crates, assembling furniture, office keys, nameplates, etc. 
  • Maintain key inventory. 
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • A High School Diploma or general education degree.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages. 
  • Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. 
  • Ability to solve problems in standard situations.
