About the Role:

As a CBRE Strategy and Analytics Sr Analyst you will be responsible for conducting advanced research, data mining, reporting and interpretation of key data inputs from various sources to generate customized dashboards, spreadsheets, and visuals for the benefit of the investment sales team. You will be expected to be a subject matter expert who will make recommendations to team leadership on best practices for data refinement and visualization.

This job is part of the Data Science & Analytics job function. They are responsible for reviewing data that supports improving effectiveness and predicting outcomes to develop business intelligence.

The job is also part of the Industrial Capital Markets business line. They are responsible primarily for representing institutional real estate investors in the sale of their industrial investment properties nationally.


What You’ll Do:
  • Capitalize on the company’s immense database of sale comparables, rent comparables, and market research to generate clear reports and dashboards which assist with team leadership’s business development pursuits.
  • Enable a highly sophisticated, data-driven approach to investment property sales.
  • Assist with identifying data gaps, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities to ensure the team’s leadership and financial analysts are focusing their time on high-value data inputs.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple analytical requests from the team in a fast‑paced, deal‑driven environment.
  • Design scalable, repeatable analytics solutions that reduce manual reporting and improve speed.
  • Work with other CBRE teams, including data and technology groups, to facilitate successful project implementation and adoption.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for key data systems, tools and analytical processes to help advise on bet practices and usage.
  • Communicate complex analytical concepts clearly to the team, including leadership.
  • Apply advanced analytical judgment and industry knowledge to solve complex, ambiguous problems.
  • Review the maintenance, integrity, and reporting of benchmarks and performance metrics.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values. 

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. A finance, real estate or computer science major is preferred.
  • Understanding existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • Experience working with large, multi‑source datasets (internal + external). 
  • In-depth knowledge of data visualization software (specifically, Power BI & Tableau), Microsoft Office products, Customer Relationship Management software (e.g., Salesforce) and Artificial Intelligence tools (e.g. Claude) is highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency with SQL and/or Python/R for data analysis and automation is also preferred.
  • An understanding and curiosity of the commercial real estate industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
