Position Overview: 
The Chargeman is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and compliance of high-tension (HT) and low-voltage (LV) electrical infrastructure in accordance with statutory requirements.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Electrical Maintenance
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on switchgear, transformers, generators, and distribution boards.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize downtime.
2. Compliance and Regulatory Management
  • Ensure compliance with Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) regulations.
  • Prepare and support scheduled inspections and certifications.
3. System Monitoring
  • Monitor load distribution and system performance.
  • Implement safety controls and emergency response procedures.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Valid Chargeman Certification (A4) from Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HT/LV operations and maintenance.
  • Good understanding of electrical safety, energy conservation, and compliance standards.
