About the Role

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Carpentry-Focused) to support a multi‑building veterinary medicine manufacturing site in Winslow, Maine. This position is hands-on and ideal for someone with strong carpentry and general building maintenance experience who enjoys working in an active industrial environment.

The role is part of CBRE’s Engineering and Technical Services function, responsible for maintaining the physical integrity, safety, and functionality of the facility through repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Overtime is available for those who want it

What You’ll Do:

Perform carpentry-focused maintenance and repairs, including:

Framing, drywall installation and repair

Door, window, cabinet, and hardware repairs

Flooring, ceilings, trim, and general finish work

Complete facility improvements and renovations to support manufacturing operations

Maintain interior and exterior building structures, including walls, platforms, railings, and workspaces

Perform ongoing preventive maintenance, repairs and upgrades to existing buildings

Carpentry, paint & patch and general handy-person duties.

Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.

Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.

Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.

Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.

Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.

Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

What You’ll Need:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including

a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position

is or $24.00 per hour and the maximum salary for the position is

 $33.00 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate

will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
