About the Role
As a CBRE Maintenance Mechanic supporting a leading pharmaceutical client in Lebanon, IN, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations.
Working Monday through Friday on first shift, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building systems across mechanical, electrical, and utility infrastructure. This role supports a highly regulated environment, requiring strong technical skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality. You’ll troubleshoot issues, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and help keep critical systems running at peak performance to support the client’s production and research activities.
What You’ll Do
- Perform on-time, safe completion of fume hood maintenance, pump repairs, reactor maintenance, rigging tasks, and general mechanical equipment upkeep; execute preventive maintenance, small bore piping work, basic HVAC and carpentry tasks, and maintain a wide range of systems including air handlers, vacuum pumps, and mechanical pumps.
- Apply predictive maintenance practices to identify equipment degradation early, analyze performance trends, and ensure the reliability of all systems within the assigned area of responsibility, using data and inspections to prevent failures and optimize uptime.
- Fabricate custom parts and components from drawings, sketches, or concepts provided by lab personnel, ensuring accuracy, fit, and functionality to support equipment repairs and modifications.
- Ensure all tasks are completed safely and in full compliance with local regulations, site requirements, and corporate safety procedures, consistently demonstrating safe work practices in every aspect of maintenance activities.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
What You’ll Need
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Universal CFC certification is preferred. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions. Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
