About The Role

As a CBRE Business Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team or teams responsible for planning, managing, and directing business operations for small to large sized clients, divisions or regions. They are responsible for coordinating staff functions and operations that support the organization’s goals and strategies.


What You'll Do

  • Prepare ad hoc data reports for revenue, expenses, and other business metrics. Evaluate trends to find opportunities to improve financial performance. Lead the monthly forecasting process for assigned clients, regions, or divisions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policy, business and professional licensing, real estate law, and state, and federal guidelines.
  • Partner with digital teams to explore and drive business transformation leveraging AI, automation and technical enhancements across your team’s workflow and the business.
  • Maintain data integrity across systems used by each team.
  • Engage with regional or divisional teams and departments to recognize and apply standard methodologies for the organization.
  • Assist with the development of training programs, business processes, and system training programs.
  • Facilitate the communication of policies, procedures, and initiatives to create consistency across the region or division.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
  • Coordinate and lead the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Provide effective leadership and formal supervision to employees, including monitoring training and development, conducting performance evaluations and coaching, and managing the full talent lifecycle—from recruiting and hiring to ongoing engagement and performance management.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
  • Experience developing, tracking, and reporting KPIs to measure performance, identify trends, and drive continuous operational improvement preferred.
  • Experience working within operational dashboards or business platforms to monitor performance and drive key metrics.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job field and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a thoughtful mentality.
  • Familiarity with automation and AI as applied to business and process improvement.
