About the Role

As a Global Energy & Sustainability Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development and execution of sustainability programs while supporting Adobe's global office portfolio. The ideal candidate will be comfortable discussing direct access energy one day and corporate sustainability reporting the next.

This role is based in San Jose or San Francisco, and the expectation is that the candidate will follow a 'hybrid' schedule, working from an Adobe office at least 3 days per week

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies to meet client objectives and minimize environmental impact
  • Lead a global Facilities team in enhancing the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of Adobe's offices
  • Monitor the effectiveness of sustainability programs, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Analyze and derive insights from real-time energy and water data to reduce cost and consumption
  • Monitor and maintain site-level and company-wide environmental data in various reporting systems
  • Own company-wide corporate sustainability reporting on energy, water, waste, carbon, and renewable energy
  • Develop and produce third-party verified greenhouse gas emissions inventory annually
  • Develop and present monthly, quarterly, and annual sustainability status and variance reports to client
  • Create and maintain long-term environmental plans to achieve site-level and company-wide targets
  • Drive traditional and renewable energy strategy including contracts, pricing, and term
  • Identify opportunities for green building certifications or ratings and maintain a set of green building certifications
  • Submit locally required environmental ordinance documents to maintain compliance with applicable regulation

Who You Are

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience leading sustainability with progressively increasing responsibility
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to exceed expectations
  • Ability to communicate complex information simply and effectively from the front line to executives
  • In-depth knowledge of sustainability best practices and corporate greenhouse gas reporting standards
  • Proficiency in data management and analysis, with strong organization skills and an inquisitive mindset
  • Familiarity with environmental data reporting and climate reporting frameworks (e.g. CDP, TCFD, CSRD)
  • Comfortable working with multiple service lines and for competing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to influence and build consensus among stakeholders by finding shared interests
  • Self-motivated and comfortable driving work in a dispersed environment
  • Outgoing and able to build relationships across multiple departments and regions
  • Master's degree in sustainability or business preferred
  • Experience with technology industry preferred

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a

candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is 

$140K per year and the maximum salary for the position is

or $170K per year. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate

will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.  Successful candidates will also

be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
