About the role
As an Associate Project Manager at Turner & Townsend, you will be instrumental in supporting our project management team and ensuring the successful delivery of critical healthcare infrastructure projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to significant, high-impact developments within Seattle's dynamic construction landscape. Your responsibilities will encompass comprehensive project support, including critical documentation, active client management and engagement, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout project lifecycles. You will coordinate complex design and engineering efforts, serving as a crucial link between various stakeholders, without engaging in direct design or engineering work.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in construction, preferably a Professional Engineer (PE) from a General Contractor (GC) background. Your familiarity with both general construction practices and the specific nuances of the healthcare sector will be essential to your success in this role.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the Project Manager with project delivery activities.
- Manage RFI and submittal documents.
- Coordinate and communicate construction activities with customers including move coordination.
- Represent the customer in the management of construction projects, working with architects, contractors, and customer department stakeholders.
- Oversee team close-out procedures.
- Prepare complex and special client communications as required.
- Implement standard risk management routines with management support to identify project risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
- Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
- Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with our values.
- Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
- Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
- Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
Turner & Townsend carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $85,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $105,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on Turner & Townsend’s applicable benefit program.
