As a CBRE Hybrid HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems, to include boilers/ chillers and general building maintenance at facilities by conducting proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance and any reactive repairs.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC equipment and systems along with boiler/ Chiller and general building maintenance. (This is a Hybrid role)
* This specific position will be servicing branches for one of our premier Financial Institution clients. The coverage area will include a few branches in a more remote location that will require an overnight stay once a month. (Company vehicle, gas card and credit card) (This is a Hybrid HVAC role, it will be critical to also have Boiler/ Chiller experience as well as general building maintenance)
Hours are Monday - Friday approx. 8-5. Occasional after-hours phone calls with no on-site requirement.
What You'll Do:
- Install, repair, adjust, and maintain small electric or pneumatic control systems used for building. This includes heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment.
- Conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine best course of action for equipment modifications.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
- Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
- Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2+ years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education May be considered. Valid driver's license required.
- To be successful in this role you will need to have a Universal 608 Certification.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
