CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities management and corporate real estate services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all countries within their portfolio have robust financial and commercial management, controls, and reporting in place, in line with both CBRE and client requirements.
This role is part of the Finance Strategy and Operations function and plays a key role in maintaining strong accounting, financial, and reporting governance across a complex, multinational environment.
What You Will Do:
• Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for multiple countries, ensuring compliance with internal controls and reporting deadlines
• Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide clear, insightful financial commentary to senior stakeholders
• Lead the annual budgeting process, monthly forecasting cycles, strategic planning activities, and standard management reporting
• Manage month-end close processes, including review and approval of journal entries and account reconciliations
• Review consolidated reporting packs and balance sheet analyses for accuracy and completeness
• Produce routine and ad hoc financial reports, pro forma analyses, and presentations for senior management and planning units
• Ensure revenue recognition and cost allocation are compliant with CBRE accounting policies, UK GAAP, and commercial agreements
• Support internal and external audit processes, including coordination of the annual audit
• Coordinate the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and controls
• Line-manage a team; including performance management, coaching, development planning, and succession planning
• Oversee team capacity planning, task allocation, cross-training, and deadline management
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, operations, and auditors.
What You Will Need:
• Bachelor's degree preferred, with 10+ years of experience in finance, including at least 5 years in a managerial role
(A relevant combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree)
• Proven experience managing and developing finance teams in a complex or multinational environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness
• Fluency in English; French is a strong advantage
• Solid knowledge of UK GAAP and financial controls
• Experience overseeing finance strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
• Ability to handle sensitive, complex issues and guide difficult conversations professionally
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive, problem-solving mindset
• Systems expertise including ERP platforms (PeopleSoft preferred), Alteryx, SharePoint, MS Office (advanced Excel), and Adaptive.
• Experience with finance data migration between ERP systems.
