About the Role:

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex data center construction projects in Thailand. This role requires a seasoned professional who can manage large-scale projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to strict budgets, timelines, quality standards, and all local regulatory requirements, including health and safety. The Senior Project Manager will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage stakeholders, and drive innovative solutions for parallel design and construction processes.

What you'll do: 

  • Project Leadership & Management: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, scheduling, and risk management for data center construction projects in Thailand.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and engineering teams.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with Thai building codes, environmental regulations, and specific data center requirements, including the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and Cybersecurity Act.
  • Health & Safety: Implement and enforce rigorous health and safety protocols in accordance with the Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Act (OSHA) and other local standards, fostering a strong safety culture across all sites.
  • Design & Build Integration: Manage projects requiring the parallel development of design and construction, ensuring seamless coordination between design teams and construction activities.
  • Commissioning & Handover: Lead the commissioning process for all data center systems (electrical, mechanical, IT infrastructure) to ensure optimal performance and facilitate smooth project handover.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, government authorities, internal teams, and external contractors, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, implementing robust cost control and change management processes.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve complex technical and managerial issues.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years specifically managing data center construction projects in Thailand or Southeast Asia.
  • Proven experience in commissioning and integrating complex MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems critical to data centers.
  • Demonstrated experience in design-build projects and managing parallel design and construction phases.
  • In-depth knowledge of Thai construction regulations, permitting processes, and health and safety standards (e.g., Building Control Act, OSHA).
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, technologies, and best practices (e.g., Uptime Institute Tier standards).
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
  • Fluent in English and Thai (written and spoken) is highly desirable.
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
