About the Opportunity:
As a CBRE Technical Senior Manager, you will be at the forefront of managing critical mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and workforce development programs across a facility, campus, or a diverse portfolio of buildings. This pivotal role within our Engineering and Technical Services function is crucial for ensuring the seamless operation and longevity of our clients' assets. You'll be instrumental in delivering top-tier support, proactive preventive maintenance, and expert repairs on essential equipment and systems.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and Develop: Provide formal supervision, training, and development for your team, conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and overseeing recruitment and hiring.
- Operational Excellence: Coordinate and manage daily team activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and implement cross-training to build a versatile and capable workforce.
- Strategic Management: Drive the development of operating and capital budgets, recommend and implement continuous improvements for preventive maintenance programs, and create comprehensive maintenance and safety procedure manuals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for maintenance efforts, collaborating with external contractors, tenant finish personnel, and technicians. Maintain ongoing communication with high-profile tenants, clients, owners, and facility management teams.
- Technical Oversight: Oversee all building systems, including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues, ensuring compliance and efficiency while staying current with the latest technology trends.
- Impact and Growth: Drive the acquisition of new management contracts, facilitate the development of as-built drawings, and respond expertly to emergency situations and customer concerns.
- Influence and Innovation: Apply your broad knowledge to integrate disciplines, solve complex technical and operational problems, and improve existing methods and standards within your job discipline and across the department.
- Culture Champion: Lead by example, embodying CBRE's RISE values and inspiring your team to achieve broad operational targets.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, along with 5-8 years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, performance appraisal, and team retention.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, exchange sensitive information, convey performance expectations, and resolve complex problems.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Extensive organizational skills and an advanced, inquisitive mindset.
