THE TEAM

For our CBRE DCS department, which offers the operation of locations with critical installations, we are currently seeking a skilled and goal-oriented MEP Engineer with great initiative to take responsibility for leading MEP delivery at one of our clients located in Japan.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop client relationships and drive business growth.
  • Ensure compliance with CBRE's and the client's processes, needs, and expectations.
  • Plan and document work in detail, following all standards.
  • Provide clear leadership and effective communication of contractual obligations.
  • Identify opportunities for strategic development and secure contract retention during tender processes.
  • Maintain a close professional relationship with the client and provide advice, guidance, and knowledge sharing.
  • Establish good relationship with Client’s vendors including Data Centre Service Providers.
  • Ensure 100% uptime of the facility at all times.
  • DC Provider PPM supervision and custody.
  • Collaborate closely with subcontractors to ensure delivery in line with standards.
  • Handle project management tasks as needed.
  • Report to Technical Manager on Client side who is located outside Japan.
  • Strategically plan and develop long term opportunities by creating a pipeline of potential orders in Japan.
  • Project Assistance.
  • Meeting within the team, other streams, and third parties
  • Periodical Reporting to CBRE Manager/Director
  • CBRE Mandatory Training and Sessions
  • Business Trip if necessary

  • Business level of English and Japanese
  • Technical background (electrical, mechanical, or similar).
  • 5+ years of MEP Engineer or similar experience.
  • Preferably experience working in critical environments.
  • Flexible mindset to handle a wide range of responsibilities.
  • Clear communication that creates trust and influence.
  • Goal-oriented and a good facilitator.
  • Attention to detail and ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Structured, reliable, and proactive in taking initiative.
  • Maintain a professional demeanour when interacting with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues.
