The ideal candidate has strong business acumen, exceptional organizational skills, proven experience managing enterprise-level projects, the ability to influence across functions and levels, and experience enhancing team culture and engagement, especially in a labor-dispersed environment.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Partner with the Legal Operations leaders and the Deputy General Counsel, Americas Advisory to define, operationalize, and monitor the team’s strategic roadmap and transformation initiatives, including annual planning, priority setting, and key results tracking.
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable project plans with clear milestones, workstreams, and performance metrics.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for efficiency and proactively recommend solutions.
  • Assist the broader legal team by supporting strategic planning and execution of key initiatives.

Project & Program Management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on complex, multi-stakeholder projects across the team’s geographies and scopes of responsibility (e.g., process redesign, contract lifecycle improvements, technology implementations (with the legal operations team), M&A integration readiness, and functional transformation initiatives).
  • Establish structured project management frameworks, governance models, timelines, documentation, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Drive accountability across workstreams, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Oversee collection and external reporting of team metrics (e.g., Corporate Pro Bono Challenge, etc.)

Change Management Leadership
  • Serve as the primary change management lead for initiatives impacting the team, including organizational changes, technology rollouts, process modernization/harmonization, and cross-functional transformation programs.
  • Develop and execute change management strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, communications, and training.
  • Assess readiness, identify resistance points, and implement practices that ensure strong adoption and sustained behavioral change.

Operational Excellence & Team Enablement
  • Optimize internal legal team workflows, knowledge management processes, and collaboration structures.
  • Develop consistent transactional-practice-focused onboarding processes and resources for new attorneys and staff.
  • Develop and oversee knowledge management initiatives, including online content (e.g., States-at-a-Glance resources, etc.), iManage folders, and internal communication platforms.
  • Design and manage scalable systems for reporting, dashboarding, resource allocation, and performance tracking.
  • Facilitate team meetings, leadership off-sites, and quarterly business reviews; prepare agendas, briefing materials, and follow-up actions.

Communications & Executive Support
  • Draft high-quality executive-level communications, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic counsel and thought partnership to the Deputy General Counsel.
  • Synthesize complex issues into clear recommendations and decision-ready materials.

To perform this job successfully, an individual will need to perform each crucial responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

  • Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree or PMP/Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci) strongly preferred.
