DIGITAL & TECHNOLOGY / CONTINENTAL EUROPE
As Solutions Architect you will lead the design of technology solutions for key digital and data products across Continental Europe.
This position is cross-functional in nature, requiring strong working relationships with multiple teams including Software and Data Engineering, Product Management, UX/UI, data science and BI teams globally distributed to ensure a successful implementation of the different products.
Key Responsibilities
‒ Design well architected software and data solutions to ensure robustness, scalability and reusability; applying modern technology stack and complying with CBRE’s internal build policies including those specific to DevSecOps.
‒ Work with technical teams, businesses and end-users to successfully design Data platforms and Web applications, helping to choose correct technologies based on business strategy, capabilities and requirements.
‒ Continuously expand, optimize and enhance our data platform architecture to enable the business data strategy by partnering with data engineering, data science, data analytics and business teams.
‒ Design the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and cloud database technologies, and partner with engineering teams on its implementation.
‒ Partner with the different engineering teams on the successful implementation of the products and platforms.
‒ Partner with team engineering leads in order to support engineering teams on solutioning and applying best practices for software development technology and methodologies.
Person Specification/Requirements
‒ Minimum bachelor’s degree qualification, with strong quantitative background (STEM education background (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) AND/OR an MBA preferred) and +5 years’ experience in a similar role.
‒ Effective communication and excellent presentation skills in English.
‒ Team player with self-confidence, assertiveness, and decisiveness as well as great problem-solving skills and growth mindset.
‒ Adept at balancing multiple products.
‒ Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical and non-data audiences.
‒ Exceptional technical knowledge on software development, data and DevSecOps paired with a strong execution will. Commercial and legal awareness (e.g. data privacy, cybersecurity) welcomed.
‒ Technical proficiency desirable:
‒ Programming / analytics languages like Python.
‒ Web application using React and NodeJS.
‒ Familiar with cloud architecture: AWS/Azure cloud and data services.
‒ Data analytics tools (Power BI / Tableau / Esri ArcGIS).
‒ Database architecture with Relational database, preferably Postgres
‒ ELT / ETL / data Integration tools experience, preferably SnapLogic / Informatica
‒ Data warehouse experience, preferably on Snowflake.
‒ Data modelling techniques preferably Data Vault 2.0.
‒ Agile development environment including DevSecOps for CI/CD.
