The Finance Director is a key role, part of the South East Asia leadership team.

He/She is the go-to person for finance matters related Local Accounts in South East Asia. He/She also supports the development in South East Asia of finance & operations platform capabilities, led by the CBRE country corporate finance teams, Enterprise Accounts and Local Accounts Leadership.

He/She is overall accountable for the financial performance of businesses worth ~50M USD / year and is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the wider APAC organisation for financial topics related to South East Asia.

The Finance Business Partner is required to navigate the wider CBRE organisation, sharing his/ her knowledge of the local market, influencing stakeholders, bringing together a diverse mix of people, knowledge, functions in order to grow the CBRE financial performance and mitigate risks.

Finally, he/she provides leadership, training and decision-making support to the finance teams dedicated to the client accounts and based in country.


Financial Performance
  • Drive & control financial performance throughout the business
  • Ensure reporting consistency, accuracy and integrity to CBRE APAC leadership teams
  • Support & coordinate dedicated account teams for all CBRE corporate finance matters & processes (Budgeting, forecasting, P&L & balance sheet management)
  • Support CBRE’s central controllership teams, ensuring compliance processes are followed by dedicated account teams
  • Coach South East Asia based finance teams in implementation of compliance check points
South East Asia Market Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Develop & maintain in-depth knowledge of local South East Asia market, and share with broader APAC teams as well as global leadership teams, dedicated to a specific account, operating in South East Asia
  • Act as first point of contact for all CBRE finance related matters in South East Asia, and maintain strong relationship with Local Business (LFM) South East Asia teams, Enterprise Accounts (EA) account teams as well as the Country Finance Controllership function and the Regional EA COO Office
Business Support
  • Support the resolution of business challenges if & when they arise, in coordination with Regional/Global account leadership
  • Provide financial and commercial advice to country leaders
Financial platform capabilities
  • Develop an “Acts of service” culture, aiming at enhancing dedicated accounts teams’ ability to outperform business & financial objectives
  • Support & lead - whenever required - the enhancement of financial capabilities for the Local businesses in South East Asia
  • Drive CBRE finance processes improvement projects
Transitions & New Business
  • Lead the transition & go-live of new accounts in South East Asia
  • Train, coach, develop the finance teams, based in South East Asia
  • Manage succession planning of finance teams in South East Asia
  • Maintain a pool of strong South East Asia based finance experts (Finance leads, Finance managers, Finance Analysts)
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing across accounts and between CBRE’s platform and accounts
  • Qualified accountant and member of recognised accounting organization preferred but not mandatory if candidate can demonstrate equivalent skillset
  • Expected 10+ years post qualified, managing a finance department
  • Experience driving financial performance in an industrial business context. Knowledge of Facility Management markets is an advantage
  • Experience of planning and forecasting financial performance within a multi $m organisation
  • Demonstrated management experience, in a matrix organisation
  • Experience managing a high degree of complexity, bringing together financial, commercial, operational and people considerations, to secure the best outcomes
  • International/regional/cross-country or multi-cultural experience
  • Experience with contract management is preferable
