The CBREU Enterprise Academy is the entity within the university structure that innovates and delivers learning and development strategies and solutions that are applicable across the span of CBRE’s businesses and functions.

The Enterprise Academy takes point in developing learning tools that are valuable to CBRE, our learners, and not typically dependent on the learner’s line of business. This leader is responsible for partnering with the business segment academies to enhance the business-specific learning modules with various forms of professional development.

The CBREU Enterprise Academy Director ensures that specialized learning processes are developed and delivered in ways that will help advance the skills of our people across the organization and at all levels, with a focus on leadership, career, professional and business development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Creates the strategy, scope and specific elements of the enterprise-wide CBREU curricula (both virtual live and in-person events) and programs via the Enterprise Academy.

Establishes framework for CBRE Enterprise Academy, which is responsible for building, designing and developing professional development curriculum and programs at the enterprise-level.

Regularly meets with CBREU leadership teams and business leaders to advise on best practices and in supporting business initiatives.

Accountable for ensuring leadership buy-in and ongoing engagement. Sets up metrics and KPIs for the CBREU team to leverage and additionally keep relevant parties informed.

Actively leads consulting discussions and needs assessments with clients and stakeholders around competencies, skills, etc.

Accountable for successful implementation and execution of programs, projects and curation efforts. Establishes a system of focus groups and pilot programs to test effectiveness of proposed programs.

Manage the curation and maintenance of business and leadership skills curriculum/content, tracking uses of content and ensuring it is current across competencies, programs and the different business-specific academies.

Responsible for collaborating with business-specific academies to ensure unification and consistency of programs (e.g. CBREU professional development is integrated into business-specific learning offerings).

Performs other duties as needed.                      

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area.  Approves subordinates' recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination.  Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval.  Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime.  Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff.  Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies.  Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university in Business, Human Resources, Learning & Development, Organizational Development or related field or comparable combination of education and experience.

Must have 7 to 9 years’ experience leading and managing large-scale learning and development curriculum and programs with deep experience in developing and driving learning strategy across a global organization.

Demonstrated proficiency in developing the strategy, program design and implementation of learning initiatives.

Strong understanding of best-in-class teaching/coaching techniques for adult learners in a corporate environment.

Program management experience a plus.

Proven agility in a constantly changing environment. Able to prioritize key programs under tight deadlines and use limited resources intelligently; experience with program-level financial and resource planning and budget tracking.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles.  Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts and commissions.  Conducts advanced financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced reasoning and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn and become proficient in use of company's learning management systems.

Must work well under pressure with proactive approach including managing multiple deadlines and changing project scope/direction.

Must closely collaborate with business-specific L&D partners to integrate business-specific learning needs with enterprise-level professional development programs.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results.  Responsible for setting department deadlines.  Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers, supervisor, department and/or line of business.
