About the role
Oversees the activities of the LTC Utility Operators and LDAR Inspectors in a 24/7 operation where they supervise alarms and conditions for a variety of utilities and customer operations, perform walk-through inspections, including secondary and hazardous waste system distribution and provide some facility maintenance and repair services.
This position also provides utilities engineering, facilities engineering, project management, and system support role for various utility systems and for the Utility Operations Playbook and its continued development. Portions of these facilities fall under cGMP requirements, and this position will support critical facilities and systems specifically associated with cGMP operations.
What you’ll do
- Leads technical staff, including hiring, training, personnel development.
- Manages operations and maintenance for assigned facilities and assists in development of operating and capital budgets: Assists in, fixing and problem solving issues as the need arises.
- Recommends/implements improvements for preventive maintenance programs on an ongoing basis and develop/maintain effective maintenance and safety procedures.
- Be responsible for all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC and electrical issues and must remain current with the latest HVAC technology trends.
- Responds to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure etc.) and customer concerns.
- Ensures compliance with applicable codes, requisitions, government agencies and company directives as relates to building operations.
- Maintains a proactive relationship with various customers and understands the business needs of individual customer areas and communicates those business needs to CBRE Engineering and Operations management.
- Connect with customers, other CBRE maintenance shops and CBRE system owners regarding Utility Operations observations and maintenance requests, ongoing status reports, completion dates and other issues.
What you’ll need
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of four years’ experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of all applicable practices and techniques, laws, project controls and environmental regulations to include safety laws.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet/internet. Ability to use work order system (CMMS), preferably GMARS. Working knowledge and understanding of architectural, electrical, and mechanic systems. Work in project management, engineering systems, and facilities and utility management experience helpful.
- Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
