About the role

Under supervision of a licensed interior designer, performs within a design team in an encouraging manner in multiple aspects of the Architecture and Interior Design process including but not limited to the design & documentation of all phases, the preparation of materials, and construction administration activities within established budgets, schedules, and programmatic requirements.

All aspects of descriptions of previous titles are incorporated and required for position.

What you’ll do

Collaborates with team to suggest finishes, fixtures, and furniture for projects

Supports in design, documentation, and assembly from Concept through the Construction Administration phase

Actively supports compliance with BIM/CAD project standards and procedures

Assists in graphic formatting and story boards for client presentations

Coordinates specifications with drawings to meet project requirements

Develops appropriate construction drawing techniques

Assists with vendor interface and library resources

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

May provide informal assistance such as technical mentorship and/or training to coworkers.

What you’ll need

• B.A. or B.F.A. in Interior Design from Council for Interior Design Accreditation curriculum or
• B.A. or M.A. in Architecture from accredited architectural curriculum (National
• Architectural Accrediting Board or Canadian Architectural Certification Board).
• Academic background in Architecture or Interior Design
• NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) certification or in process.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to optimally present information.
• Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
• Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to tackle problems in standard. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
• Proficiency in Revit, BIM360, and Enscape
• Intermediate graphic and presentation skills in Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp
• Understanding and application of design principles, theories, color and materials
