We are seeking an experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join a clients team on site in London.

You will be part of our clients H&S Department who provide a wide range of health and safety services for the Firm’s 9000 staff across the EMEA Region. In the role you will work as part of the Corporate Services Health and Safety team, reporting directly into the Head of Health & Safety EMEA, to provide advice and support across the UK and EMEA region for the continued development of the health and safety policy, systems, standards and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist advice and support to facilitate the implementation of policy, guidance and requirements, both in the UK and EMEA region
  • Act as the lead advisor for building related health & safety management
  • Establish effective working relationships with Corporate Services, Technology and Business Unit contacts across the EMEA region
  • Identify ways of meeting business requirements, whilst ensuring health & safety requirements are not compromised
  • Develop the Firm’s health & safety policies and procedures, as well as draft guidance, bulletins, briefing notes and other documents as directed
  • Lead on incident investigation & monitor identified remedial actions and trends on behalf of Corporate Services
  • Provide general health & safety advice to Corporate Services and Technology managers on issues such as contractor health & Safety management, CDM Regulations, Fire Safety, the management of asbestos, confined spaces, permit to work, working at heights etc.
  • Develop and manage the Corporate Services Safety Monitoring Strategy, including completing workplace inspections and audits, active and reactive monitoring programme and providing regular reports and action plans
  • Provide general health & safety advice, guidance and support on workplace safety issues that affect a corporate office environment, including DSE, Business Travel, Homeworkers, new and expectant parents, Corporate Events etc.
  • Performance reviews of Corporate Services vendor partner’s health & safety performance as part of contractual KPI reviews
  • Management of health & safety due diligence of Corporate Services vendor partners, including subsequent vendor approved suppliers
  • Act as the Corporate Services lead fire safety advisor, including the fire risk assessment programme across the region
  • Ownership of Corporate Services health & safety management reporting and data analysis which is shared with senior stakeholders across the wider business
  • Act as Corporate Services health & safety team advisor on CDM for Moves and Changes (MAC) and other small works
  • Act as lead with Corporate Services health & safety advisor for the review and approval of works requiring high-risk permit to works
  • Support with the wider health & safety Corporate Services communication and engagement plan with key business unit stakeholders and client employees
  • To support the client’s arrangement for managing health & safety of corporate events and leading health & safety reviews of events such as skiing, sailing, shooting volunteering etc.
  • Ownership of the Corporate Services EMEA health & safety auditing and monitoring programme, providing remote support and governance for Corporate Services and Vendor Partner teams across the region
  • Liaison with Procurement and Corporate Services teams to carry out competency assessment for new suppliers and vendors


  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent (e.g. OHS degree or NVQ level 5 / 6).
  • Minimum Graduate IOSH / CMIOSH or working towards
  • Member of Association of Project Safety 
  • Knowledge of EMEA H&S Legislation 
  • NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety (or equivalent) 
  • Internal management system auditing qualification or experience to ISO 9001 or BS OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001
  • Computer and IT literate – specific focus on all Microsoft Office systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
