The opportunity: 

This role is an Operational role, it is a key component of Operations Team and it will deliver all services expected by our client. The role will work closely with customers, clients, guests, and Operations Support. The role will perform general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of assets and building systems across the client site. Leveraging the site facilities / operations managers and staff to obtain access, adhere to client site induction and safety processes while completing works in accordance with job specific requirements. 

About the role:   

  • Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as required.
  • Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair.  Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
  • Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
  • Identify any problem areas affecting their area of responsibility and develop, implement, and monitor appropriate strategies to address these issues. 
  • Management of direct staff and subcontractors, including some involvement with hiring, training, personnel development of other Trade related roles
  • Physically capable of moving equipment.
  • Adhering to security guidelines.
  • As the successful applicant you will ideally possess:
  • Knowledge of Basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry, skills. 
  • Good building services knowledge.
  • Good Customer relationship skills.
  • Understanding of requirements for maintenance services in a property environment.
  • Strong awareness of safety requirements and demonstrated experience in ensuring safety comes first.
