About the role

The Senior Cost Manager will support individual multi-disciplined real estate cost solutions for our Financial Services Sector clients with direct accountability for cost delivery and pre-construction services.

What You’ll Do

Lead all facets of cost management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for individual real estate projects throughout the planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.

Secure and leverage client-specific benchmarking and issue recommendations to produce costs in greater detail and provide supplemental cost management services.

Support cost aspects of the project closeout; negotiate, agree, and settle final accounts and close-out statements.

Create a detailed cost plan and maintain detailed cost reports to establish a strategy to run cash flows, and project accruals, and report progress in a manner consistent with CBRE policy.

Promote proactive submission of all vital funding documents to ensure all project work is funded in compliance with the client's internal funding policies and complete process.

Lead review sessions to assess rollover project capital, benchmarking, and costs for new projects, understand budget creation, and partner with IT/AV/Security and other partners to help forecast and capture costs. Participate in data audits, data governance, budget reporting, and compliance.

Evaluate project scope to develop and present recommended budgets for crucial pre-construction cost estimating and planning services.

Produce concept-level estimates to aid feasibility and business studies, harnessing a range of information from simple internal benchmarking to detailed market data.

Assist the client and design team with the life cycle cost of LEED sustainability initiatives. Support new design guidelines related to safety, finishes, and MEP upgrades to produce price modeling.

Suggest and implement contractual adjustments as appropriate; implement project or account-specific performance management solutions.

Lead and champion balanced relationships with external consultants and vendors while holding them accountable for the timely delivery of their scope of work.

What You’ll Need

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) from an accredited university

Minimum of 8 years of experience in a Cost Management role in real estate construction.

Excellent presentation and communications skills and the ability to persuade all levels of the organization.

Experience with software MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, and PowerPoint

Equal Pay Disclaimer

The minimum pay for this position is $110,000 annually and the maximum pay for this position is $140,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
