About the role
The purpose of this position is to lead individual, multi-disciplined real estate construction and renovation project solutions for our life sciences client, with direct accountability for project delivery. Run multiple capital improvement construction projects in a medical device R&D lab and manufacturing facility in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Projects include electrical infrastructure upgrades, tenant improvements, and facility renovations.
What you’ll do
- Lead Facilities construction/renovation projects and coordinated team efforts ensuring the completed projects meet company specifications, schedules, and budgets.
- Lead and coordinate manufacturing equipment installation and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate work of outside design engineers and construction contractors.
- Select and coordinate construction contractors and engineering firms.
- Prepare engineering and construction estimates and schedules.
- Review drawings, specifications, studies, and vendor proposals.
- Collaborate with local planning authorities and client’s corporate representatives.
- Run client relations, including progress meetings, correspondence, periodic reports, change orders and response to client inquiries.
- Maintain and adhere to provisions of FDA, OSHA, GMP, and ISO specifications
- Review and supervise project progress, quality, and safety. Work with superintendent to make corrections, as the need arises, to align with contract and company policy and procedures.
- Improve project cash flow through invoicing and collections. Prepare requisitions for payment and other required project invoicing.

- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) from College or University in a technical area of study.
- Minimum four years of related experience and/or training.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel.
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
- Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices.
- PMP (US and/or Canada) and LEED AP preferred
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.
- Ability to effectively present information.
- Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles.
- Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.
