Key strategic Government client – Place Management NSW 
Work as a part of a highly experienced Property management team 
Lead the management and delivery of Capital Works Programs

CBRE has been appointed by Place Management NSW, the State’s premier place making agency, to provide Property management services across some of our most recognisable, State Significant heritage and cultural precincts. 

This is an extremely rare opportunity for a Lead Projects Manager to join a team of professionals who work strategically to provide the best outcome for the client.

Here’s a snapshot of your day;
  • Accountable for the end to end holistic management of the Capital Works program, including Major Heritage work items, and delivery of projects on-time & within budget
  • Adherence to processes & procedures for procurement, finance, HSE, project management, sustainability, heritage & AMP/LMP
  • Oversight & management of the tenancy coordination function of the projects team
  • Assessment of construction-based permit applications through our online permit platform  
  • Creation of business cases, for submission to the client, in relation to recommended capital work projects
  • Completion of project management service types included but not limited to vertical transport, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, marine structures, public domain, CCTV/security, fit-outs, fire, external façade refurbishment & structural upgrades
  • Adherence to KPI deliverable within our contract SOR
  • Liaising with stakeholders not limited to our Client, Government Agencies, Private Entities, Consultants, Members of Public & CBRE Team through-out the projects & permit process
  • Provide technical assistance to FM team around Capital Works delivery

Here are some of the strengths you’ll possess and the background you’ll need to be successful;
  • Exposure to both builder’s side & client-side project management & construction
  • Preferred technical or trade background 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a project management, building construction management or building engineering role in an organisation with exposure to capital works or project management activities
  • An understanding Statutory Legislation imposing or affecting property operations and building services, including Workplace Health & Safety Act, Essential Services regulations, Building Code of Australia requirements and relevant Australian Standards
  • Trade, HSE, Contract Management, Property Advisory qualifications or exposure will be highly regarded
