The purpose of this role will include portfolio management responsibilities for the Global Alpha Fund; including input on portfolio strategy, investment selection, monitoring, and client relationship management.


As a senior member of the portfolio management team for Global Alpha you are responsible for contributing to superior performance. Works directly with the Fund Manager.  Proactively contributes to strategy. Participates in investor update meetings and new business pitches. Pro-actively review and monitor existing portfolio holdings. Active assessment of new investments/pipeline. Oversees production of quarterly and annual fund reports, participate in webinars and communicate actively with clients. Manages analysts. Member of GIT. Performs other duties as assigned.

May have formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to co-workers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project
Undergraduate degree required; postgraduate masters preferred.

A minimum of 8+ years relevant industry experience and with a preference for experience in a real estate investment or real estate investment management environment. 

Professional qualification, RICS, CFA, ACA or equivalent FSA or equivalent Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

Strong organizational and analytical skills. 

Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. 

Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues. 

High level of technical knowledge. Clear familiarity with the management of debt and financial reporting. Excellent financial modeling skills.

Ability to think independently and draw key insights from relevant data. Effective problem solving skills. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. 

Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills. Excellent IT skills; strong analytical and Microsoft Excel modeling skills - prior experience with commercial real estate discounted cash flow modeling. 

Excellent oral and written English language skills Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
