RESPONSIBILITIES  

Strategically plans, implements, coordinates and manages all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and manpower development programs for a campus of Animal Health Manufacturing Facilities.

The site is located in Clinton, IN.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Oversees a scope of work including Facility Maintenance, MRO Stores Operations and Material Handling Operations.

Manages all facets of inspections and surveys, including HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, environmental compliance, accessibility compliance, and third party surveys.

Supervises and reviews all technical operations included in, client work orders.


Develops and provides for ongoing improvement of preventive maintenance and engineering procedures, hazardous materials communications plan, indoor air quality programs, preventive maintenance programs, budget operating costs estimates and comparisons.

Oversees implementation of programs to ensure compliance with life safety programs and procedures, domestic water quality control and water treatment programs to include environmental and safety compliance.

Assist with due diligence and building evaluations for possible increased scope or development projects..

Evaluates and recommends building automation, energy management and automatic temperature control systems.

Perform value-engineering studies and evaluate contractor qualifications and recommendations.

Produces monthly business review reports for the client and leads meetings to review overall adherence to KPI’s and budget.

Accountable for >$7M Facility Management spend across more than 750k sq ft of Animal Health Manufacturing space, Labs and Admin facilities.  Accountable to create long and short term savings strategies to meet budget plans.

Accountable for the HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) program at the site related to the performance of the team.

Performs other duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES  

Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE  

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university (Engineering preferred) and a minimum of seven years of experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and understanding of all applicable practices and techniques, laws, project controls and environmental regulations to include safety regulations.

Must hold Facilities Management experience in a Manufacturing environment.

One or more of the following preferred: Local Operating Engineer's License or Trade License, Systems Maintenance Administrator (SMA), Real Property Administrator (RPA) Proficient computer skills; familiar with energy Management System (EMS) programming and fire alarm systems.

Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.


FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE  

Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.


REASONING ABILITY  

Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.


OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES  

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet/internet. Ability to use work order system. Working knowledge of asset management, property management, leasing, disposition, and construction.

Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve complex results. Responsible for setting project, department and/or division deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to line of business and/or overall company.


SAFETY
