JOB SUMMARY

The CBREU Executive Communications Manager is responsible for coordinating, designing and delivering strategic messaging and collaboration processes and tools. Collaborates with Corporate Communications and Marketing teams to ensure the effective development and distribution of CBREU communications and change management materials. Works closely with CBREU leadership and business segment leadership in organizing and reporting on regular strategy and decision meetings.

This role effectively engages and coordinates with various leadership stakeholders on the communications and marketing strategy to best serve the CBREU brand. These responsibilities will enable alignment of business strategies and establish an effective narrative on the delivery of CBREU's mission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for driving efforts in promoting the evolution of CBREU through the development of communications plans and programming materials.  Work products may include senior level communications, strategy presentations, communications plans, etc.

In support of CBREU's strategy development and program goals, this role will plan, create and deliver on communications materials as defined from end-to-end.

Works closely with the Learning & Development (L&D) leadership to establish CBREU's strategic and tactical scope and then communicate that strategy effectively.

Serves as the coordination point and process driver for official communications and marketing materials developed for the CBREU entities. Proactively partners and serves as the key liaison with the cross-functionals teams (e.g. marketing, corporate communications, D&T) that will support in development and roll-out of CBREU content.

Engages with the CBREU Leadership Council to advise on leadership engagement, reporting and priorities. Proactively manages schedules, develops agendas, materials and interface with executive sponsors as necessary.

Coordinates the various inputs on the CBREU strategy and delivery plans and consolidates them into effective project scopes and communications. Recommends a variety of communications channels to delivery these program goals, including email, intranet, media walls, etc.

Identifies and utilize effective collaboration and coordination tools to ensure proper project management and reporting of all council interactions and decisions. Works closely with Project Management partners to disseminate necessary information on initiatives.

Produces executive-level progress reports and dashboards on a regular cadence.

Interacts with business and matrix partners to define strategy, review progress, seek feedback.

Performs other duties as needed.                           

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Coordinates and assigns tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project team. Leads project teams and/or plans and supervises assignments of lower level employees.  May have responsibility for identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching, and motivating a work unit and/or group.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Communications, PR, or Marketing or a related discipline from 4-year college or university, and a minimum of 4 years of experience developing, implementing, and evaluating integrated communications products to achieve company-wide program outcomes.

Minimum of 4 years of recent experience with training and communications initiatives and programs preferably within a large corporate environment and/or within the Learning & Development space.

Minimum of 3 years of full lifecycle project management experience preferred.

Serve as an individual contributor leading projects through matrix relationships and influence.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to internal and external audiences.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires intermediate to advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages. Conducts intermediate to advanced financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite applications.

The ability to manage multiple projects, communicate effectively with C-suite level leaders and produce board quality reporting on actions and decisions is critical. 

Strong trouble shooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent leadership engagement skills required.
