Job Summary
  • Manage a team of transition manager/specialists to ensure all transition deliverables for new/existing accounts are in line with the contract and ensuring all the financial scope of works, finance processes and systems are set up prior to account go live.
  • Works closely with Operations to support initiatives in the business which could include but is not limited to: pricing, global reporting, strategic analytics with a focus on improving margins and identifying opportunities in the business for growth.
  • Responsible to manage APAC Transition Team's corporate budget/forecast/variance analysis
  • Responsible to manager all EA transition’s budget and actual costs. Be the gatekeeper to ensure all the transition costs are booked according to company policy
  • Responsible to lead and manage special projects as directed by the senior managements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Being Subject matter expert of Financial Systems and local finance processes in APAC. 
  • Leading the finance transition activities for any new clients . Tasks include but not limited to the following:
1. Attend Transition Kick Off Meetings & Presentation and Weekly Client functional call 
2. Coordinate with Global/Regional Technology Team to ensure financial Systems are ready prior to GO LIVE 
3. Draft out finance process (process flow and Playbooks)
4. Work with Account Finance lead and provide training to the account team during transition to ensure he/she is able to deliver client expectation
5. Reviewing Contract to understand the commercials and produce ASC 606 net vs gross template
6. Baseline Validation Support* (TBC)
  • Responsible in supervises finance staff including training and managing job performance, Establishes overall departmental priorities, manages workload and staff assignments to ensure that all deadlines are met.
  • Responsible in evaluate and develop departmental processes to ensure maximum efficiency, conformity to internal policies and procedures as well as supporting internal teams
  • Responsible in managing Regional transition team's financials and provide financial insight and recommendation to the head of regional transition team
  • Responsible for execution of the department budgeting and forecasting processes and standard management reporting. 
  • Responsible in preparing and reviewing transition budget with regional transition head and ensure actual transition costs are record correctly and does not exceed budget
  • Works closely with Operations to support other initiatives in the business which could include but  not limited to:  pricing, global reporting, strategic analytics with a focus on improving margins and identifying opportunities in the business for growth and strategically build relationships with key stakeholders and leadership members
  • Directs other special financial and business studies and other duties as assigned by management. Produces a variety of routine and ad hoc financial reports, packages and pro forma analyses for senior management and planning unit. 
  • Coordinates research, development and preparation of accounting policy and procedures, as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination.  Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval.  Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labour, including overtime.  Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies.  Leads by example and models behaviours that are consistent with the company's values.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)  in a business related field. Requires a minimum of 10 years related experience to include at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory capacity. Public accounting experience preferred.  

Certificate and/or Licences
CPA  preferred, but not required (depending on experience).

Communication Skills
Ability to comprehend, analyse, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to effectively interact with management, employees, auditors, etc. and respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to accurately explain/report activity in verbal and written communications. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and work collaboratively with business partners, key employees, top management, and client groups on various projects. Fosters an environment of team-building and an open door policy.

Financial Knowledge
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Reviews complex financial/business analysis and reports prepared by subordinates. Ability to analyse the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions. Develops and implements financial policies and procedures. Approves and oversees department budget. Broad, in-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), concepts.  SEC reporting experience desired (depending on the specific finance role).

Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Ability to problem-solve, both independently and working as a team. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.

Other Skills & Ability
Strong computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Broad experience with other software and financial systems is desired. Knowledge of real estate service industry and terminology is helpful. Ability to plan and manage multiple projects and work streams. Strong work ethic and adaptable.

Scope of Responsibility
Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting department deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers, supervisor, department and/or line of business.
