About the role

The Senior Occupancy Planner is responsible for developing innovative planning solutions on the Santa Clara campus which includes critical analysis, information management, elevated employee experience and space discussions resulting the ultimate business outcome. The Sr. Occupancy Planner will be supporting the Sr Director, Global Real Estate and Workplace Design within the Real Estate & Site Services (RESS) Group. This function will predominately work on the workplace planning team as well as lend support to the workplace design team

What you’ll do

  • Lead day-to-day occupancy planning activities and space allocations in support of tactical business unit need requirements.
  • Develop positive relationships with business contacts to understand product area focus, business adjacencies, and departmental reorganizations.
  • Implement, track and report on current space allocations and FlexSpace designations in conjunction with the MAC (Moves Adds Changes) team and ensure all changes are updated in the Serraview (Space Management) system.
  • Develop various planning scenarios by using qualitative and quantitative information. Use CAD, Serraview, and other tools to build scenario plans.
  • Partner with the MAC lead to conduct space audit walks and preparation of space for moves, new hires and FlexSpace set ups.
  • Comfortable with providing in-depth analysis to support space strategies and scenario planning.
  • Work with the lab strategy team, project management team, facilities services team, IT and finance to ensure planning solutions are viable.
  • Lead the global As Built drawing library as part of the Workplace Design teams’ responsibilities.
  • Work with key partners - architects, contractors and designers, internal and external project managers, Real Estate Planning, IT to ensure updates of MEP & architectural drawings are detailed, timely and shared with all partners online.
  • Leading the organization of the library
  • Responsible for space planning and test fits as needed
  • Track and lead miscellaneous design-related tasks for Santa Clara campus
  • Update and lead various presentation documents and tools

What you’ll need

Requires a degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Planning or related field

A minimum of 5 years of experience in interior design firms, local furniture dealerships and/or a real estate workplace group within a technology company

A minimum of 5 years in a corporate or technology company working in real estate planning and MAC

Strong AutoCAD and REVIT

Experience in CAFM preferably Serraview

Critical to be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with multiple partners, internal team members and collaborators

Enjoys crafting new processes and tools to improve current systems and initiatives

Must exhibit initiative in recognizing gaps in approach and develop solutions to fill those gaps

Have a good understanding of the technology industry culture
