About the role

CBRE Hotels New York office is seeking a Senior Associate to join its team. The role offers the unique opportunity to be directly involved in structuring hospitality transactions in NYC and across the US. What you’ll do

  • Participate in site visits and property inspections to gain an in-depth understanding of the competitive positioning of the asset.
  • Analyze operating statements, STR reports, real estate taxes and other data and conduct market research to support trading value and recommendations to clients.
  • Develop opinions of value and marketing proposals.
  • Create thorough and concise investment memorandums.
  • Partner with investors to conduct marketing calls, property tours, handle negotiations and monitor the due diligence process through to closing.
  • Proven track record of originating business and closing transactions.

What you’ll need

  • 3-5 years of transaction experience with an established real estate company, development firm, investment banking or real estate private equity team focused on hospitality real estate.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial analysis and excel using CBRE investments models.
  • Strong communication and business writing skills.
  • Ability to participate in creating professional quality offering memorandums.
  • Strong knowledge of the hospitality investment marketplace and established relationship with acquisition decision makers.
  • Knowledge of finance/capital markets and impact on hospitality investments.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently to and within established timeframes.
  • Candidate should be detailed, proactive and self-motivated with strong work ethic. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven team environment.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a four-year university. Preferred hospitality or real estate development/finance background. MBA is a plus although not required.
