Job Summary
GDC Vendor Services will provide the following core services to facilitate project/portfolio management and knowledge management for the client’s data center training program. Contractor will assist with the scoping, functional specification and creation of user stories, program plans, risk and issue logs to support program delivery. Contractor will provide support Services to the DCO team benefiting the client teams and their internal customers. Specifically, Contractor will provide the following Services:

Program Management
  • Act as liaison between the Program Management Office (PMO, Program Manager and project teams to define business requirements, build project management plans, and establish a business requirements traceability matrix.
  • Work closely with Project Management, Product Owners, Developers, Quality Assurance and customer teams to enhance the learning experience across GDCs global training programs and related to business analysis, test support and project communications.
  • Support teams to implement governance requirements and communicate system enhancements.
  • Assist in the development of user story scenarios and high level business requirements and extract detailed system requirements from them.
  • Research and analysis into the nature, effect and results of system problems.
  • Consult frequently with internal users to ensure a complete understanding of their needs and concerns.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations with stakeholders and business users.
  • Collaborate with business leads on alignment on the integration of the timelines, goals, and deliverables of related projects and teams.
  • Manage escalations and unblock constraints and dependencies.
  • Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross- functional team members and management.
  • Provide support for any tool issues or challenges that may arise.
  • Provide ongoing reporting as requested by client.
 Knowledge Management
  • Proactively identify stakeholders regarding change considering end-to-end processes across the business. Work with them to, plan, and prioritize objectives and success criteria, define business requirements, estimate task durations, and ensure schedules and dependencies are aligned and support objectives.
  • Effectively monitor and communicate progress, risks, and mitigations of the engineering changes.
  • Align stakeholders on decisions and support changing circumstances regarding change.
  • Sustain a “Continuous Improvement” approach including ability to solicit feedback, identify and present process improvements ideas to leadership.
  • Seek and apply relevant best practices from other Google processes and technologies and industry standards.
  • Independently work to support change roadmaps, implementing plans for programs including impact analysis.
  • Proactively support programs requiring change management, monitor progress of change management rollout, and resolve misalignments.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE  

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university. Minimum six years of related experience. Prior Supervisory experience preferred.


CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES  

PgMP (Program Management Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) certifications preferred.


COMMUNICATION SKILLS  

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.


FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE  

Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.


REASONING ABILITY  

Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.


OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES  

Strong process skills, negotiating, decision-making and analytical skills are necessary. Demonstrated ability in project management processes, tools and techniques.

Ability to build and maintain effective professional/client relationships.

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project.


SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY  

Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting department deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers, supervisor, department and/or line of business.
