Business Analyst

Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, we are seeking a Business Analyst to help capture our future-state technology vision, work with both senior stakeholders and technology delivery teams to drive execution towards the target state. As Business Analyst, the successful candidate will own the technology and business services requirements for the GWS platform and will be responsible for defining new features/functionality to inform the design and future direction of the platform.

This is a highly visible role working within the newly formed Global Platform Team working across a mix of strategic projects, innovative initiatives, and existing enterprise workstreams. We are looking for a talented and eager to develop Business Analyst to join our high-performing team who is bring in best-in class Business Analysis skills and bring best value to our team.

Responsibilities
- Use Business Analysis tools and techniques at the initiation of projects including stakeholder identification, scope definition, benefit measures and operational impact assessments
- Use Business Analysis tools and techniques to gather and elicit business, system & data requirements.
- Create and analyse customer journeys and business processes across project work streams.
- Facilitate workshops and one-to-one meetings with stakeholders and business users to understand the 'As Is' business environment, impact of the change on existing processes and the required 'To Be' processes and journeys. This will include finding opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitating workshops and meetings, encouraging debates, collaborations, and alignment across business areas
- Be accountable for delivering business analysis artefacts and activities including documenting end to end business requirements (from inception to solution delivery), and managing senior management expectations by communicating progress against requirements and project achievements and challenges in a simplistic manner
- Translate business requirements into clear and testable Epics, Features and User Stories
- Manage agile requirements during the execution cycle, to support technology build
- Work with UI/UX partners to design new product interfaces and user journeys
- Ensure backlog items are kept up to date and reflect the direction from the wider business
- Work with partners and vendors as necessary to deliver the strategy
- Working closely with the products owners, the business and technology teams, translating requirements and create user stories with sufficient detail to start the development cycle
- Support the user acceptance testing process to ensure the developed solution is fit for purpose and meets the requirements, and ensure successful handover of developments into UAT
- Identify risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies and implement sound approach to mitigate them

Person Specification
- 2+ years of consumer product and/or tech experience, including significant web and mobile experience.
- 2+ Years working within an agile development methodology
- 3+ Years as a BA in tech or data-centric environment
- Experience of writing clear, concise User Stories using BDD format
- Experience working with leading software applications for requirements documentation and development tracking eg: Jira/Confluence/DevOps
- Experience & Knowledge of Business & Systems Process Modelling using BPMN and/or UML standard.
- Experience of creating UML Use Case Diagrams to support Use Cases that has been identified as part business analysis activities and techniques.
- Highly proficient in all MS Office products including Visio
- Strong oral and writing communication skills
- A strategic thinker with strong tactical acumen
