You’ll be a part of a high-performing product analytics team, delivering insights around our customers and product usage, and answering key business questions about product adoption and impact.

As Product Analyst for CBRE, you will work on implementing the strategy and tools to support data-informed decision-making for our product initiatives. In this role, you’ll work with product development teams across various lines of business to bring analytical and experimental maturity to the organization. You’ll be responsible for delivering insights around our customers and product usage and answering key business questions about product adoption and impact.

Primary Objectives:

  • Be recognized as a subject matter expert and specialist in CBRE’s Product Analytics space and their application, for the brand and business
  • You will be a specialist in problem solving the most complex questions and challenges, with strong understanding of advanced statistics, and analytical methods, and showcase our analytical mastery externally
  • Concisely turn Marketing and D&T goals into requirements for product enhancement
  • Consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the user experience
  • Partner with product teams to advise on product direction and strategy, roadmaps, feature prioritization, metrics and goals, user journeys, and to accelerate decision making

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as a conduit between technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive product development and optimization
  • Support product strategy, user experience, defining scope, scheduling, and other aspects of product strategy
  • Support developing and expanding best practices in areas such as structuring analyses, dashboard design and data visualizations to communicate meaningful metrics within the business
  • Partner with product managers to develop reports, dashboards or other tools/methods in order to interrogate data on an ongoing basis and provide self-serve insights.
  • Work closely with product teams and analysts to develop experimentation (A/B tests) to lead iterative improvements across Products
  • Collaborate with designers, help conduct user research to optimize the flows and contribute to the future product roadmap
  • Collaborate with other teams in developing and maintaining databases
  • Analyze usage, conversion, adoption and retention data and share actionable insights across all the product teams, helping them correctly engage with the data 
  • Analyze market data, trends and behaviors, and monitor product performance.


Overall Requirements:

  • Work with a team of Product and Data Analysts that will develop research questions and undertake data exploration to understand who our customers are, how they get value out of CBRE, and where we can develop our product to create even greater value over time
  • Focus on the impact of new product features of customer behavior in order to bring data and insights into every decision we make
  • Define, evaluate, and monitor key metrics, understanding the root causes of changes, and proactively surface insights to Product leadership
  • Champion: You’ll need to champion the techniques, the value, and the work of your team to help us transform the working models
  • Experience at scale: What works today literally will not work tomorrow and you’ll need to thrive within these constraints
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology to identify users, personalize content and optimize journeys across platforms

Technology Knowledge and Implementation:

  • Well-versed in Google Optimize, SiteSpect, Maxymiser or other industry leading A/B testing tools
  • Advanced SQL skills (Python or other major programming languages a big plus)
  • Experience with large data sets and dashboarding tools like Power BI, Tableau and Looker
  • Familiarity with diverse data formats (CSV, XML, JSON)
  • Solid understanding of customer-centric digital product analysis
  • Experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling
  • A foundational understanding of statistical techniques such as regression, predictive modeling, forecasting, time series analysis, and clustering and apply those to answer business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology to identify users, personalize content and optimize journeys across platforms
  • A proven track record of using quantitative analysis to impact key decisions

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field and a minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training
  • 4+ years of experience in heavily analytical roles, ideally within product or data analytics, experimentation/hypotheses building, test & learn methodologies, and design
  • Background working in similar product-driven roles and 2+/4+ years of experience in analytics is a plus
  • A proven track record of using quantitative analysis to impact key decisions ideally in both small, entrepreneurial environments and large, complex organizations that you can leverage to help us continue to scale
