Job Description:

US Senior Accountant to join the Americas Controllership team. 

Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close and reporting process. 

Prepare and review monthly/quarterly/annual deliverables along with communicating key inputs to management. 

Reports to the US Accounting Manager for CBRE Investment Management.  

The successful candidate will be diligent, detail oriented, possess excellent communication and time management skills, and be able to improve and streamline existing/new processes.


  • Prepare various monthly and quarterly complex journal entries including equity fair value pick-ups, consolidated investments, and other P&L entries.
  • Reconcile key high and medium risk balance sheet accounts
  • Analyze transactions to determine accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate and record various regional intercompany transactions related to compensation, E&O insurance, overhead allocations, IS and transfer pricing.
  • Help with requests related to quarterly and year-end financial reporting, external audit, and internal control reviews.
  • Prepare ad-hoc requests for leadership.
  • Opportunity to participate in various projects including system implementations and enhancements.


5+ years of progressive accounting experience.  Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Sound knowledge of U.S. GAAP. Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate across functional areas and geographic regions. Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite applications. Experience with other financial systems. Ability to design and produce various ad- hoc reports.

Preferred qualifications:

Financial services experience, particularly private equity/fund accounting or asset management accounting.

Equity Investment Accounting experience.

Experience working in a multinational company or a matrix reporting structure.

CPA w/ Big 4 public accounting experience.

Familiarity with PeopleSoft and Hyperion (HFM).
