JOB SUMMARY  

Responsible for performing a variety of moderate to complex cash operations functions. Coordinates with staff on the day-to-day workflow to meet departmental deadlines.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Responsible for gathering operational quality control cash operations metrics, reports, etc.; processes exceptions and presents information to manager/assistant manager.

Reviews and audits release of wire transfer requests. Facilitates more complex wire requests.

Identifies and recommends procedural changes that improve efficiencies for the department. Significant contributor to the implementation of procedural changes.

Serves as initial point of contact for routine issues or exceptions related to cash operations. Coordinate resolution of issues related to cash operations with manager and/or respective process owner(s).

Serves as a SME (subject matter expert) for all processes performed by a cash analyst. Performs cash analyst functions as needed.

Responsible for running and gathering Cash Operations reports and processing exceptions and presenting information to department manager.

Daily quality control review of exception processing transactions.

Assists manager as needed with administrative duties related to cash operations.

Conducts training sessions for new employees on topics related to reports, procedures and process improvements according to organizational policy.

Validates and authorizes exception transaction processing.

Other duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES  

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate work and assign tasks.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE  

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and/or a minimum of 4 years related experience. Previous experience in mortgage loan servicing preferred.


CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES  

None.


COMMUNICATION SKILLS  

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.


FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE  

Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.


REASONING ABILITY  

Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.


OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES  

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc. Intermediate level Excel experience required. Must have a basic understanding of pivot tables, using functions, writing formulas, etc.. Working knowledge of the McCracken Strategy loan servicing software is preferred.
