Role Purpose:


Providing essential support to the GWS business to achieve and maintain excellence in quality, health, safety and environmental (QHSE) risk management.


Key Tasks & Responsibilities:


·       Act as a focal point for the QHSE Function with respect to relevant internal and external enquiries, providing effective guidance and signposting.

·       Organise and administer QHSE Function reporting, including data collection, risk analysis and report production monthly. Provide commentary and insights on QHSE performance trends globally and regionally, and challenge and report on missing or inaccurate data.

·       Organise and administer QHSE Function meetings, including scheduling, producing the agenda, tracking attendance and taking and circulating minutes.

·       Lead QHSE communication programme for the QHSE function, including development of periodic communication, collation of content and circulation.

·       Coordinate and assist with the preparation of QHSE materials including procedure, standard forms, policies, procedures and templates.

·       Support on development and administration of QHSE training requirements, such as DCS’ bespoke Human Factors behavioural safety and reliability training programme.

·       Proactively support wellbeing initiatives across the business by providing administrative support, signposting and guidance.

·       Support maintenance of QHSE Gateway, including provision of effective document control.

·       Providing administrative support to users of QHSE systems and platforms.

·       Maintaining regular contact with the QHSE Function members and promoting collaboration.

·       Administer the purchase order process for the QHSE department and ensure details of committed costs are entered on the relevant QHSE financial plan as required.

·       Assisting with the procurement of any PPE, equipment and materials that may be required to enable the QHSE Function team members to discharge their duties.

·       Any other duties as may be reasonably expected to fulfil the job purpose, as described.


Person Specification:


Education

·       Good general level of education. Certificate level qualification in health, safety or environmental management.

·       Diploma, or equivalent


Experience

·       Good working knowledge of Microsoft and other programmes including Smartsheets, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, 1+ years practical experience in QHSE related field

·       Good working knowledge of MS Forms, Power BI, I-Auditor or similar

·       Experience of data analysis, performance reporting and emerging trend insights.


Aptitude

·       Meets agreed deadlines as a priority e.g. monthly reporting cycles.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·       Numerate with a high degree of computer literacy.

·       Good time management and high attention to detail.


Character

·       Personable, Professional and objective.

·       Able to contribute effectively and on equal terms across all business activities.

  



Incumbents must have a high level of energy, be self-starters, confident and stable in manner, and be able to prioritise and work on a range of activities within a high-pressure environment.

·       Excellent motivational and influencing skills.


Circumstances

·       May occasionally be required to travel within the region. Occasional overnight stays may be needed.
