The Opportunity

Supporting the Associate Director of Procurement, this role is an opportunity for a tactical Procurement Category Manager to join our Property Management business, developing effective category strategies, preferred and panel supplier programs for the Property Management team and clients, with a focus on Soft Facilities Management Services.

Here’s what you will focus on:

  • Deliver agile procurement models, operational efficiencies and high value outcomes that deliver sustainable long-term savings to our clients
  • Assume responsibility for category strategy development and value delivery for facilities management soft service categories, including; cleaning, security, waste / sanitary, landscaping, consumables, professional services, pest control and energy.
  • Develop and manage preferred supplier agreement tenders, and vendor and performance management
  • Implement and drive CBRE’s sustainability strategy and supplier diversity program
  • Deploy global best practice, source to pay technologies
  • Develop localised category playbooks, policies and governance frameworks
  • Focus on governance and risk management for your elected categories being able to identify and mitigate risks in areas such as - modern slavery, continuity of supply and WHS
  • Build strategic relationships, influence, engage and work in partnership with a variety of stakeholders and senior leaders across the business.

Your Background:

  • Relevant Tertiary qualification in supply chain, law, engineering or property 
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Procurement Category / Contract management with specialist expertise in Soft Facilities Management Services or related role.
  • Experience negotiating and delivering procurement contracts over $20M in annual spend
  • Experience in E2E Category management, particularly “SRM” Supplier Relationship Management
  • An ability to work to long term road maps with numerous projects running concurrently
  • Sound knowledge and competent in the application of Statutory Legislation including the Modern Slavery Act 2018
  • A proven track record in negotiation, delivering long-term sustainable savings.
