We are looking for an experienced principal economist to lead a cross-functional team of experts. As principal economist, you will be required to use your expert skills in academic research to develop new commercially relevant data products that enhance EA’s suite of tools leveraged by investors, occupiers, and CBRE transaction professionals as they make decisions or recommendations around managing real estate portfolios. You will be expected to be professionally competent in macro-economics, micro-economics, and econometrics.

Candidates must be able manage and lead people as well as developing a pipeline of original research which is relevant to the needs of business. The intellectual leadership involved in this role means that aa PhD is required. You will ideally have a body of knowledge, an established network of university contacts in the field of real estate, and a reasonable publication track record in macroeconomics, urban economics, real estate, or applied econometrics. Candidates with expertise in other areas of economics will be considered if they have the requisite intellectual capital and managerial skills.
