RESPONSIBILITIES
The purpose of this position is to calibrate and adjust equipment in accordance with the customer and requirements in a Pharmaceutical environment.
Facility is physically located in Cambridge, MA. Free parking or commuter benefits offered.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs calibrations and adjustments for numerous calibration devices; typically in the temperature, humidity, pressure, physical dimensional, torque, force and electrical disciplines.
Maintains proper documentation, which includes but is not limited to the metrology database, calibration certificates, equipment history forms, time sheets and automated calibration software.
Conducts self-study to improve and maintain technical proficiency in calibration theory, methods and equipment.
Communicates to customers as it relates to the progress of the testing, repair and/or service(s).
Accompanies Senior Metrology to customer locations and calibrate equipment on-site.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associates Degree (AA/AS) in scientific field of study preferred or equivalent related work experience. Minimum of two year of related experience and/or training.
Previous work experience in instrumentation and control, installing, calibrating, maintaining and repairing equipment or related equivalent.

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Intermediate skills with Desktop publishing, Microsoft Office Suite and Online Help.
