Job Role: ICT Technical Shift Engineer

The position is a shift position working a continental pattern of 12 hour day and 12 hour night shifts, working 14 shifts (7 days and 7 nights) in a 28 day period.

As a CBRE ICT Technical Shift Engineer your performance and duties will consist of, but not be limited to:

·       Empowering a culture of safety, security and compliance in all aspects of our clients datacentre activities.

·       Establish and enhance a strong working relationship with our client, and other datacentre staff onsite.

·       Monitor customer call logs and deal with incidents in a timely and professional manner.

·       Identify and swap out failed components, handle storage media and perform troubleshooting.

·       Perform installations, testing and troubleshooting using standard datacentre processes.

·       Physically assist in moving and racking equipment, perform hardware installations (Rack / Stack)

·       Perform tactical management tasks such as prioritizing ticketing queues, stock and parts ordering control and working to resolve escalations.

·       If required, assist datacentre deployment teams with the deployment of datacentre infrastructure as needed to address high volume work activities.

·       Datacentre inventory and asset management along with shipping and receiving and inventory management to address high volume work activities.


·       At least two years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technologies.

·       Ability to support frequent standing, walking pushing, pulling bending reaching and lifting up to 50lbs and working at heights.

·       Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills

·       Flexibility to work non-business hours shift work, that may include weekends and public holidays


·       Technical College degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Telecommunications or equivalent work experience.

·       Strong working knowledge of physical IT infrastructures, Servers, SANs, Networking, etc.

·       Basic working knowledge of Datacentre ME infrastructures, UPS, Generators, AHU, etc.

·       Experience including operating heavy-load movement equipment (pallet trucks, server lifts, etc.

·       Perform and execute CBRE’s safety programs and policies, and compliance knowledge assessments.
