The Head of People India, plans and directs the effectiveness of human capital through the development, communication, implementation and measurement of People initiatives and policies. The role provides people leadership for India region through the implementation of policies and programs, coordination of information flow and marketing of the people strategy.

The Head of People develop and links overall people strategy with the CBRE India business plans. Directs and provides overall strategic management for business partners and centres of excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Spearheads the People function for CBRE India’s all businesses including design of a People Strategy which is aligned to the organisation’s goals and roll out of appropriate people initiatives 
  • Oversees the smooth functioning of all facets of the People Function spanning Talent Acquisition, People Process Excellence and Benefits, Business Partnering, Talent Learning & Diversity and Labour Compliance 
  • Provides direction and leadership to the People team, spread across all the locations of the country
  • Links overall people strategy with business plans for all lines of business for India region. Understands the business and is closely aligned with the business leaders.
  • Ensures design and implementation of people policies and programs to ensure a superlative employee experience with a high focus on creating a highly engaged and performance driven work culture 
  • Oversees the Talent Acquisition strategy of the Organisation ensuring hiring of the best talent into the Organisation via a diversified source mix and in the shortest possible time
  • Provides interpretation of corporate policies and procedures and guides business leaders in handling sensitive issues regarding non-performance, disciplinary cases and other employee relations matters, ensuring that the Company’s interests are protected at all times.
  • Enhances employee and management performance by establishing employee engagement/ connect frameworks, ensuring rigour in performance management systems, ensuring roll out of appropriate L&D programs aligned to training needs, and measuring effectiveness of the same 
  • Builds a learning culture at CBRE via appropriate Talent and Learning interventions and establishes robust mechanisms for Succession Planning 
  • Establishes best and innovative practices to ensure and enhance people process excellence, including automation and technology leverage
  • Ensures that employees within her/ his area of responsibility adhere to the corporate policies and procedures and follow applicable people function requirements.
  • Oversees the smooth functioning of the Labour Compliance function ensuring speedy resolution of any compliance related issues and providing proactive advisory to business 
  • Directs the development & implementation of CBRE’s Diversity & Inclusion strategy & affirmative action plans.
  • Provides People insight into business/ operational issues and goals, working with and coaching business leaders/ managers. 

REQUIREMENTS
  • Graduation in any related subject.
  • ~10 Years of Experience in all verticals of Human Resources, preferably in MNCs
  • Should have previously handled a large team with multiple levels of reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to effectively present information.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills. 
  • Effective stakeholder management with ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. 
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret the most complex business documents. 
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. 
  • Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management and client groups to take desired action.
